'Ongoing incident' at Lincoln Prison Lincoln Prison 'emergency' was 'bomb hoax'

Emergency services have been attending an "ongoing incident" at Lincoln Prison. Emergency services called to Lincoln Prison are dealing with a bomb hoax, the Ministry of Justice has said.
The incident, confirmed by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ), started at 07:30 BST. Staff at the prison in Greetwell Road became aware of the threat at about 07:30 BST.
A spokesman for the MoJ said there had not been a fire at the facility in Greetwell Road, but would not comment further. Two fire engines, three ambulances and an incident response vehicle were called to the prison.
Two fire engines, three ambulances and an incident response vehicle are currently outside the prison. A Prison Service spokesperson said there was no threat to the public, staff or prisoners.
"All necessary procedures and checks are being carried out," they said.
