A 27-year-old woman arrested over the death of a three-year-old boy in Lisburn has been charged with his murder. A woman has appeared in court charged with the murder of three-year-old Brendan Owens.
Brendan Owens was found dead on 4 July at a house in Trinity Terrace, near the centre of Lisburn. Michelle Owens, 27, was dressed in a dark blue tracksuit, and was flanked by custody officers in the dock at Lisburn Courthouse, County Antrim.
The woman is expected to appear in court in Lisburn on Friday. No questions were asked by legal representatives and there was no bail application. She will appear again on 7 October via video link.
A 51-year-old man man was also arrested over the boy's death. He was later released on police bail pending further inquiries. Brendan Owens was found dead on 4 July at a house in Trinity Terrace, Lisburn.
