Singer/song-writer Matshidiso became popular for her Front Room Sessions – live performances she had in her living room. Scholastically trained in law, classically trained to play the piano, Matshidiso has a whimsical yet solicitous sound. Her 2012 release through independent label Beat Circle, Nursery Rhymes for Grown Folks, was a collection of songs adapted from well-known nursery rhymes. Directed by Motheo Moeng and Mau Mau, the video for her new single Running was shot in various parts of Johannesburg, and sounds like fresh droplets of a sun shower on a Sunday morning.
