One person has died following a road accident on the A90 in Angus, police have said. A 64-year-old man has died following a road accident on the A90 in Angus, police have said.
The crash, which involved one car, happened shortly before 0745 BST about one mile south of Finavon. Michael Picozzi, of Coatbridge, was killed when his Renault Clio crashed on the busy dual carriageway one mile south of Finavon at about 0745 BST.
A spokesman for Tayside Police said accident investigators were at the scene to try and establish the cause of the crash. Emergency services were called to the accident but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The inside lane of the road has been closed while the investigation is carried out. Tayside Police said they are keen to trace a man who stopped to help at the time of the accident.
The man is believed to be Eastern European and was driving an agricultural vehicle.
The inside lane of the northbound carriageway was closed while an investigation got underway.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
