The boy was found by a man in the garden of a property in Fazakerley late on Thursday evening. The boy, who had his umbilical cord still attached, was found by a man in the garden of a property in Fazakerley at about 2300 BST on Thursday night.

The boy was in a healthy condition and was being cared for by medical services, a police spokeswoman said. Any witnesses should call the police. The baby is in a healthy condition and is now being cared for by staff at Liverpool Women's Hospital.
Anyone with information is being urged to contact police.
A spokeswoman said: "The baby was found in the garden of a house at about 11pm last night.
"He has been taken to Fazakerley Hospital and was later transferred to Liverpool Women's Hospital.
"We are obviously concerned for the well-being of the mother and we will be making an appeal for her to come forward."
