Two freed in knife attack probe

Two men arrested after a stabbing in County Down have been released without charge.

A 27-year-old man was stabbed in the throat, ear and hands in a knife attack in South Street, Newtownards, at about 2130 BST on Sunday.

He managed to get to a friend's house in Holywood and was then taken to hospital for treatment.

The police have appealed for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
