Lorry driver arrested after man dies in A19 crash

A lorry driver has been arrested after a man died in a crash on the A19 on Teesside.

The man, who was driving a Vauxhall Corsa, died at the scene after his car collided with a lorry near Low Lane Road on Tuesday afternoon.

The male lorry driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.

The A19 was reopened at 21:15 BST. Cleveland Police is appealing for witnesses.
