Manslaughter charge after Omagh assault victim dies Christopher McClean accused of killing Darren McBrearty

Police have charged an 18-year-old man with manslaughter following the death of a man who had been assaulted in Omagh, County Tyrone, at the weekend. A teenager has appeared in court charged with the manslaughter of Darren McBrearty in Omagh on Sunday.
Darren McBrearty, 28, was attacked in John Street in his home town at about 20:00 BST on Sunday. Christopher McClean, 18, and from Main Street in the County Tyrone village of Gortin, is accused of killing Mr McBrearty, 28, in John Street.

The 18-year-old is due to appear at Dungannon Magistrates' Court on Wednesday. Two other men, aged 23 and 24, were also arrested in connection with the incident but were released on bail.
