Version 0 of 1.

Oscar-winning US actor Dustin Hoffman, 75, has been successfully treated for cancer and is "feeling great", his spokeswoman says.

Publicist Jodi Gottlieb said the star had been "surgically cured", after the cancer was detected at an early stage. No further details were given.

People magazine reported Hoffman would undergo treatments to prevent the cancer returning.

He won the best actor Oscar for Kramer vs. Kramer (1979) and Rain Man (1988).

He will appear in the comedy movie Chef with Scarlett Johansson and Robert Downey Jr next year.

Hoffman's directorial debut Quartet came out last year.

Ms Gottlieb said Hoffman was "feeling great and in good health".
