Police investigate 'double shooting' at Auldhouse farm | |

Two men have been injured in a shooting incident at a farm and equestrian centre in South Lanarkshire. | |
Officers from Police Scotland were called to Meadowhead Farm and Stables in Auldhouse, about three miles south of East Kilbride, at 08:10 on Tuesday. | |
It is believed the men were targeted and police are understood to be following a positive line of inquiry. The men's conditions are not yet known. | |
A large-scale police operation is still ongoing around the village. | |
A statement on the farm's website said: "All lessons and treks cancelled until further notice. Also no liveries permitted onto the yard until further notice." | |
BBC Scotland reporter Aileen Clarke, who was at the scene on Tuesday morning, said a large armed response team was involved in a wide-scale search of countryside around the Auldhouse area. | |
She said the road to the farm had been cordoned off and police roadblocks were in place on surrounding roads. | |
Armed officers had begun searching the farm buildings and surrounding area. | |
A police dog unit is also at the scene. |
