A 58-year-old woman has died following a domestic incident at a house in Arbroath, police said. A man has been detained by police over the death of a woman following an incident at a house in Arbroath.
Tayside Police said officers were called to a house in Glenisla Drive at about 2225 BST on Sunday. The 58-year-old woman was taken to Dundee's Ninewells Hospital with a serious injury on Sunday night, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The woman was found within the house with serious injuries and was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. Officers were called to Glenisla Drive at about 2225 BST and found the woman and a 48-year-old man, who had a stab wound to the stomach.
She was pronounced dead on arrival. Officers have launched an inquiry and a forensic examination of the house is being carried out. He has been detained for questioning after receiving medical treatment.
