Family fishing group goes missing Missing fathers and sons 'safe'
(30 minutes later)
Concern is growing for two fathers and their 10 and 11-year-old sons who have not been seen since they set out on a family fishing trip. Two fathers and their young sons who sparked an appeal when they were not seen for more than 24 hours are safe and well, according to police.
Anthony Bainbridge, 41, his brother Darren, 37, and their sons are believed to have left Rochester for the Edenbridge area at midday on Saturday. Anthony Bainbridge, 41, his brother Darren, 37, and their sons Luke, 11, and Ricky 10, left Rochester, Kent, to go fishing on Saturday.
Their families say it is completely out of character for them to have been gone for so long without making contact. Their families became concerned when they did not hear from them on Sunday.
Kent Police urged the two men or anyone who had seen them to get in touch. A Kent Police spokeswoman said: "They have made contact with their family, they are safe and well."
Insp Kay Maynard said: "Concern for the men and their sons is growing and their families are extremely worried about them, if they hear this appeal or if anyone has seen them I would ask them to contact police or their families urgently." She added: "They have been fishing and they were in a mobile phone black spot."
