Version 0 of 1.

Police investigating the rape of a 13-year-old girl in South Lanarkshire have issued an e-fit image of a man they want to trace.

The teenager was attacked while walking home through Cambuslang Park at about 21:00 on Thursday 6 June.

A man grabbed her from behind, pulled her to the ground and raped her.

Police said a man fitting the description of the e-fit image was seen in the area several days later, in Fernhill Road, near Rutherglen.

He is believed to have been driving a dark hatchback car.

Officers want to speak to anyone who recognises the man in the e-fit image.

Following the rape, police described the suspect as white, with a local accent, over 6ft tall, with a skinny build, large nose and short dark greying hair.

At the time of the attack he was wearing a grey T-shirt and blue jeans.
