According to yesterday's Post article, Gallagher is being sued in Manhattan family court by a woman who "specialises in interviewing celebrities". The plaintiff is apparently seeking $3m and is "considering undergoing DNA tests" to strengthen her case. Although Friday's legal hearing was not listed publicly, the Post reports that it took place with magistrate Matthew Troy under the heading "Anonymous v Anonymous", and will continue later this month.According to yesterday's Post article, Gallagher is being sued in Manhattan family court by a woman who "specialises in interviewing celebrities". Historically, Gallagher has not been afraid of using the courts to battle accusations he denies. He sued the Guardian in 2009, for an incorrect report that he "stormed out" of an Oasis gig. Then, two years ago, he filed a high court complaint against his brother: Noel Gallagher had claimed that Liam once cancelled an Oasis gig because he "had a hangover". "That is a lie and I want Oasis fans and others who were at V to know the truth," Liam said in a statement. That case was eventually dropped after Noel admitted his brother had been suffering from laryngitis.Historically, Gallagher has not been afraid of using the courts to battle accusations he denies.
