The bodies of a couple in their 50s have been found at a house in the West Midlands.

A 52-year-old man and a woman, aged 55, were pronounced dead at the scene on Bryan Budd Close in Rowley Regis on Wednesday, prompting a murder inquiry.

The woman was found with head injuries and the man was discovered with neck and wrist injuries.

Officers forced entry to the property at about 11:30 BST after concerns were raised about the occupants' welfare.

Post mortems will be conducted later to establish causes of death.

Det Insp Derek Packham, of West Midlands Police, said: "We want to reassure the local community that we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this case.

"The families of the couple have been informed and we will continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding their deaths."
