An exhibition of photographs giving a snapshot of life on a Hebridean island has boosted visitor numbers to the National Trust for Scotland's HQ.

The trust's Edinburgh headquarters has seen 3,000 people visit in the first month of Canna: Living Island.

It features new work by Scottish photographer Colin Prior and images from the island's archive.

The pictures from the Canna Collection include those of the island and its past residents.

Visitor numbers to the headquarters are four times the usual figure thanks to the exhibition, said the trust.
