A second man was reported missing at the nearby Cantref Reservoir on Sunday. A 24-year-old man died at the nearby Cantref Reservoir on Sunday.
In the first incident, a search was launched and the man's body was recovered around half an hour later. He was reported missing at about 14:45 BST.
The reservoir lies partly in Merthyr Tydfil county and partly in Powys. Dyfed-Powys Police said the body was recovered on Sunday evening and next of kin had been informed.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a man, believed to be in his 20s, went missing at the Cantref Reservoir at about 14:45 BST on Sunday. The main A470 road which links south and north Wales was closed between Merthyr and the junction with the A4059 north of the reservoir until 19:00 BST.
Dyfed-Powys Police said the body was recovered on Sunday and next of kin are being informed. In the first incident, a search was launched on Saturday afternoon and the man's body was recovered around half an hour later.
