Two men in hospital after Port Talbot and Swansea assaults

Two men are being treated in hospital after separate assaults in Port Talbot and Swansea on Saturday night.

A 35-year-old man was taken to hospital suffering abdominal injuries after the first incident in Talbot Road, Port Talbot, at 19:40 BST, said police.

A 23-year-old man suffered chest injuries in the second attack at Somerset Place, Swansea, at about 23:45 BST.

A woman, 31, and man, 41, have been arrested.

The woman is being questioned about the Port Talbot assault and the man about the incident in Swansea.

South Wales Police said the men were being treated in Morriston Hospital, Swansea.

Both have injuries which are not considered life threatening.
