Norfolk armed police storm Thetford flat after stand-off

A 46-year-old man has been arrested after an 11-hour stand-off with armed officers at a block of flats in Norfolk.

Trained negotiators were called to Painter Street in Thetford just before 17:00 BST on Thursday when a man refused to come out of his flat.

People living nearby were told to leave their homes during talks.

A man was arrested when armed officers stormed the flat at 04:00 BST. Norfolk Police said no-one was hurt.
