Police are surrounding a home in Oxfordshire where a man is believed to be holding his two-year-old daughter in a suspected armed siege. An estranged father, who is thought to be armed, has released the second of his two-year-old twin daughters he had been holding at a home in Oxfordshire, according to police.
Officers were called to the address in Morton Avenue, Kidlington, at 3.40am, after reports that the 38-year-old man was holding twin two-year-old girls. One of the girls was released at about 9.45am but the other is still being held. The man had been in regular communication with officers outside, Thames Valley police said. The Oxford Mail said the girl was brought out of the property in Morton Avenue, Kidlington, believed to be a one-bedroom flat, by four armed officers with shields and helmets. Thames Valley police confirmed the second girl had now been freed and that the man remained inside the flat. The first girl was released at 9.45am.
