Lorry appeal over road death man
(1 day later) | |
Police say a 25-year-old man who was found dead by the side of a road near Llanelli may have been hit by a lorry.
Richard Lee Owens's body was discovered by a passing motorist between the Keeper's Lodge and Trosserch Road at Llangennech about 2300 BST on Saturday.
The road remains closed while forensic experts investigate and police are appealing for witnesses.
Detectives said it was possible the driver of the vehicle that hit Mr Owen may not be aware it struck him.
Detective Superintendent Simon Powell said: "We are anxious to speak to anyone who was driving in that area between about 2200 and 2300 BST on Saturday night and are particularly keen to identify anyone driving a lorry or high sided vehicle.
"We are mindful that the driver in question may not be aware that their vehicle was in contact with the victim."
Anyone with information should contact Llanelli Police on 0845 3302000. |
