Three charged over fatal stabbing

Three men have been charged in connection with the murder of a 36-year-old man found fatally stabbed near his home.

Father-of-two Christopher Deakin was found in Londley Road, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, on Friday morning and later died in hospital.

A 42-year-old man has been charged with murder and affray, police said.

Two other men, aged 29 and 18, have been charged with affray and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The three will appear before magistrates in Stoke on Monday.

A post-mortem examination found Mr Deakin died from blood loss following a stab wound to the leg, Staffordshire Police said.
