A woman has been arrested on suspicion of killing a disabled teenager who died of burns in a care home.

Yelena Hassleberg-Langley, 18, was admitted to hospital on 27 August after being scalded at an independently run centre in Oxford. She died last Friday.

Det Insp Simon Morton of Oxford CID said: "This is the first stage in what is likely to be a lengthy joint investigation."

The woman has been released on police bail until 6 November.

Investigations are continuing by Thames Valley Police and the Health and Safety Executive.

A post mortem examination revealed the teenager died of complications arising from scalding injuries.
