Version 0 of 1.

A County Armagh man who raped two young boys and molested another has been jailed for 12 years.

A judge told Daniel Patrick Blaney the "extreme indignities" he had forced upon the children meant he had faced "severe punishment".

Craigavon Crown Court heard he had raped an 11-year-old boy twice in one night.

Blaney, 33, was banned from ever having unsupervised contact with children again.

He agreed to spend a further three years on probation to complete the community sex offenders programme.

On Wednesday, the court was told Blaney raped his first victim, an 11-year-old boy, in October 2005.

He sexually molested a nine-year-old boy in the same month and raped another 11-year-old boy twice in one night in November 2005, threatening to "kill him" if he told anyone.

Blaney, of Charles Street in Portadown, was arrested and interviewed but denied the boys' allegations, instead claiming two other people he named had abused them.

Judge Patrick Markey heard Blaney had a previous conviction for indecent assault on another boy dating back to when he was a teenager.
