A black Labrador cross Pointer has been rescued by coastguards two days after falling over a cliff in Dorset.

One-year-old Dobby had fallen from cliffs between Seatown and Eype on Sunday night after being taken for a walk.

She was found by a lifeboat crew after a member of public thought they heard calls for help.

The coastguard urged dog walkers to keep their dogs on leads near cliffs and not to try and rescue their pets.

The dog's owner had been searching for Dobby since the fall and had appealed for people to look out for her.
