North Wales Fire and Rescue said the aircraft flipped over on the runway. Fire crews cut another man from the wreckage, pronounced dead at the scene.
Fire crews had been working to cut a third person from the wreckage. Police said the three people on board were from a family in Lancashire.
The other two casualties were taken to hospital at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor. The aircraft reportedly crashed and flipped on its approach to the runway at the airfield in Dinas Dinlle.
The fire service said it had 32 crew members and three officers at the airfield at Dinas Dinlle, along with eight appliances. The two casualties were taken to hospital at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor. Their condition has been described as critical.
It added that the light aircraft had fewer than eight seats. The incident has been referred to the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB).
