Police who have been searching for a missing 42-year-old whelk picker in Wester Ross have discovered a body. A missing whelk picker whose body was found near Ullapool, in Wester Ross, has been named by police.
The operation, also involving the Stornoway Coastguard helicopter and Lochinver lifeboat, was launched at about 2100 BST on Sunday. Fisherman Charles Marsh, 42, who lived in the town, went missing in the area at the weekend.
A body was discovered on the shores of Loch Broom, one mile north of Ullapool, Northern Constabulary said. A search operation involving police, the Stornoway Coastguard helicopter and Lochinver lifeboat, was launched at about 2100 BST on Sunday.
The force added that it was continuing inquiries into the incident and declined to comment further. Mr Marsh's body was discovered on the shores of Loch Broom, one mile north of Ullapool, Northern Constabulary said.
