Version 0 of 1.

Police who arrested TV weatherman Fred Talbot over historical child sex abuse claims have arrested a second former teacher at the school where he taught.

Officers have been examining claims of abuse at Altrincham Grammar School for Boys in the 1970s and 80s.

A 61-year-old man was arrested at his Middlesex home earlier on suspicion of indecent assault.

Mr Talbot, 63, a former biology teacher, was arrested over indecent assault claims in April.

He was released on bail until August after being held on suspicion of three counts of indecent assault and four counts of inciting a child to commit acts of gross indecency.

Still tracing pupils

The claims over the 61-year-old man relate to his time as a teacher at the school between 1975 and 1980 and involve a former pupil, police said.

The alleged offence did not occur on school grounds, they added.

Det Ch Insp Koran Sellars said: "We continue make good progress with this investigation and with tracing and speaking to former pupils of Altrincham Grammar School for Boys since allegations were made to police in December 2012.

"There are still former pupils that we would like to trace and speak to. Any and all information provided will be treated in strict confidence."

Mr Talbot, who worked for ITV's Granada Reports programme, is best known for his work on the ITV programme This Morning when he presented his weather reports using a large floating map of the British Isles at Liverpool's Albert Dock.
