Felix has strengthened to a Category Two hurricane as it roars towards the Netherlands Antilles in the eastern Caribbean, US meteorologists say. Caribbean Hurricane Felix has strengthened to a Category Four storm but has reportedly spared Netherlands Antilles islands serious damage.
With winds up to 100mph (160km/h), Felix is due to pass near the island of Aruba in the coming hours. With winds up to 205 km/h (125 mph), Felix forced residents and tourists on several Dutch islands to take shelter.

Storm warning Henriette
At 0600 GMT Felix's centre was about 45 miles (70km) north-east of Bonaire and some 145 miles (235km) east of Aruba, the US National Hurricane Center (NHC) said. Thousands of tourists and residents on the three Dutch islands near Venezuela were forced to take shelter as Felix struck.
However, the government of the Netherlands Antilles has ended storm warnings and the damage appeared slight.
By Sunday afternoon, the storm was about 790km (490 miles) south-east of Jamaica, moving west-north-west at 30km/h (18mph), the US National Hurricane Centre in Miami said.

A tropical storm warning and a hurricane watch had been issued for Aruba, Bonaire and also Curacao, the NHC said. Felix is expected to pass Honduras and Jamaica before it hits Belize by Wednesday, by which time meteorologists predict it could have strengthened to Category Five.
