Inquiry after two dead in house

A man and a woman have been found dead at a house in Lancashire.

Officers were called to the property on Colts Foot Drive in Chorley on Saturday at around 1400 BST where they found the bodies.

Police said it was too early to confirm the causes of the deaths but detectives were not looking for anyone in connection with the inquiry.

Post-mortem examinations to establish the causes of death are expected to take place on Sunday.

The police spokeswoman said: "At around 2pm today police were called to an address on Colts Foot Drive in Chorley where they found the bodies of two people, believed to be a man and a woman.

"At this moment in time we are unable to give any details in relation to the deceased.

"They have not yet been formally identified and officers are still trying to get in contact with each of their families and inform them of the deaths."
