McTier is the second man to be arrested as part of Operation Kiso, a big investigation centred around sexual abuse at Chetham's School of Music and the RNCM. In February the violinist Wen Zhou Li, a tutor at both institutions, was arrested on suspicion of rape. He denies the allegations but has been suspended pending the police investigation.
