Police appeal after woman raped

The police in south Belfast are investigating reports that a woman was raped.

The 20-year-old was attacked in Canterbury Street early on Thursday morning.

A PSNI spokesman said they were trying to establish the circumstances surrounding the attack.

Detectives said they wanted anyone who saw a female in a distressed state to contact CID at Musgrave Street CID on 0845 6008000.
