Version 0 of 1.

A fire which extensively damaged an Orange hall in Portadown is being treated as arson by the Fire Service.

The blaze at Seagoe Orange Hall was reported at about 0230 BST. It is understood a brick was thrown through a window before the fire was started.

Orangeman David Jones said the blaze came as a shock as the hall has never been attacked before.

"It caused quite a bit of damage to the interior - windows, banners and chairs were ruined as well," he said.

"Very small-minded individuals have taken it upon themselves to raise tensions - it serves no purpose to anyone and it's hard to understand the mindset of anyone who carries out this type of attack."
