Detective Chief Inspector Ricky Mason, officer in charge of the investigation, said his team was still trying to establish exactly when Jake was last seen alive. Jake's father, also named John Devine, walked Chico around the park on Monday in an attempt to jog memories.
Prompt memories The 72-year-old said: "I hope that somebody saw something suspicious about the place and may report it.
"All I want to do is lay my boy to rest."
