A woman in her 70s has died after the small motor boat she was in capsized off the Isles of Scilly on Sunday. The husband of a woman in her 70s who died after the small motor boat she was in capsized off the Isles of Scilly on Sunday has been released from hospital.
The woman and two men, one in his 70s and another in his 80s, were plucked from the sea by a local boat but the woman was already dead. The woman, her husband and their friend, who is in his 80s and owned the boat, were plucked from the sea by a local boat but the woman had died.
They were taken ashore and airlifted to hospital in Truro. The woman and her husband are thought to have been visiting the other man who is local. The man in his 80s, who is believed to be local, is expected to be released from hospital in Truro on Tuesday.
The two elderly men are believed to be suffering from hypothermia. Coastguards said it appeared none of them was wearing lifejackets.
Both men have made statements about the incident to detectives.
