Part of the M25 in Surrey is closed due to a serious accident involving a lorry and a car. A pedestrian, thought to be a man, has been struck by a lorry and killed on the hard shoulder of the M25 in Surrey.
The motorway has been shut clockwise between junction six at Godstone and junction seven, the Highways Agency said. It is thought a man in his 50s got out of a Ford Focus that had stopped with its lights off and started walking along the hard shoulder.
The lorry then hit the stationary Ford Focus car and the pedestrian, Surrey Police said.

The crash happened at about 04:45 BST near the M23 turnoff.
The pedestrian, who has not been named, was pronounced dead soon after 05:00 BST, police said.
Eight-mile queue
The other occupant of the Focus, who was still in the vehicle when the crash happened, was treated for minor injuries.
Officers are appealing for witnesses.
