Two women were sexually assaulted in separate attacks by a burglar while they slept in their homes. Police have charged a man in connection with two burglaries and sexual assaults in Bicester, Oxfordshire.
A man broke into two houses on the Southwold estate in Bicester, Oxfordshire, early on Saturday. Ashley Blossom, 26, of Lime Crescent, Bicester, faces two counts of burglary and two counts of sexual assault.
Thames Valley Police said he sexually assaulted a woman who was asleep on the sofa at the first house, but ran off with a games console when she woke up. It relates to alleged incidents early on Saturday morning when two homes were broken into by a man and items stolen, with women in both houses reporting being sexually assaulted.
He assaulted a woman asleep in another house and stole a number of items. A 26-year-old man has been arrested. He will appear at Banbury Magistrates' Court on Monday.
The man, from Bicester, is being held on suspicion of burglary and sexual assault. The incidents are alleged to have taken place on the Southwold estate.
A 21-year-old woman has also been arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods in connection with the two burglaries. Bethany Green, 21, of no fixed address, was charged with receiving stolen goods in connection with the same offences.
She has been bailed to appear at Banbury Magistrates' Court on Monday.
