A volunteer from the Duke of Edinburgh scheme said the girls, believed to be from Perth Academy, were well equipped. They were located at about 1245 BST on Saturday after a search involving the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue and the RAF. The girls were all pupils at Perth Academy.
The search was hampered by poor weather overnight but resumed at first light. The alarm was raised at about 2230 BST on Friday after they failed to rendezvous at an agreed point in the area of Feagour, near Kinloch Laggan.
Members of the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team and an RAF mountain rescue team had been looking for the girls in the area of Feagour near Kinloch Laggan. All four girls were in the area for the assessment of a Duke of Edinburgh gold award.
Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team, assisted by RAF Leeming Mountain Rescue team (training in Glencoe) and Rescue137 helicopter carried out a search.
The girls were said to be well equipped and had slept out overnight.
