North Wales Police were called to the scene just after 16:00 BST on Monday. North Wales Police have named the dead man as Eilir Hedd Morgan, from the Blaenau Ffestiniog area.
The coroner has been informed and a post-mortem examination will be held later on Tuesday. A post-mortem examination has been carried out and the coroner informed.
A force spokesperson said the circumstances of Mr Morgan's death were still being investigated by them and the HSE.
Officers were called to the scene just after 16:00 BST on Monday.
