Version 0 of 1.

A hunger strike at the military prison at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, is continuing to grow, but the number of participants is the subject of a dispute between the military and lawyers for the detainees. Capt. Robert Durand, a military spokesman, said Monday that by the military’s count, 39 of the 166 detainees have been deemed hunger strikers. That is up from 28 a week ago and 37 on Friday. Lawyers for detainees, however, say their clients have told them that the majority of prisoners in Camp Six and Camp Five — the disciplinary wing where detainees live in individual cells — are participating in the strike.
