A shooting has taken place in Hertfordshire, reportedly leaving several people seriously injured. Two men have been shot, one reportedly in the face, close to a railway station in Hertfordshire.

"This is an isolated dispute but we are very mindful how residents in Letchworth Garden City will be feeling at this time and want to reassure them at this stage."

One woman resident, who did not want to be identified, said: "This is all about drugs. I saw the bag myself down a side street where the man had run.
"It was down there that I was told the police had recovered a gun.
"The police were here quickly and I saw two black men being handcuffed and taken away."
Another resident said: "Suddenly all hell seemed to break loose and I saw these black men in the street and a gun being fired."
