The president of the Congress of South African Trade Unions has for the first time said that he received the money. Congress of South African Trade Unions President Willie Madisha told journalists he passed the money on to Communist Party leader Blade Nzimande.
Willie Madisha said he then forwarded it to the Communist Party's general secretary who denies receiving the sum. But Mr Nzimande denies ever having received the sum.

Speaking at a news conference in Johannesburg, Mr Madisha said he had received the funds and passed them on to the SACP General Secretary Blade Nzimande.
