Version 0 of 1.

Prison bosses are investigating how a man jailed for six-months was released after serving six days of his sentence.

West Midlands Police are trying to trace Raheem Ahmed after he was released from Birmingham Prison three weeks ago.

A Prison Service spokesman said they were trying to establish if his release was an error or if he managed to swap identities.

Ahmed was sentenced on 26 July over a charge of affray.

He was released on 1 August.

Both the police and prison service said Ahmed is not a danger to the public.
