US divers have recovered the remains of the 13th - and last - victim from the wreckage of a collapsed highway bridge in Minneapolis.

Greg Jolstad, 45, was part of a crew resurfacing the bridge when it fell into the Mississippi river on 1 August.

Workers are now set to begin the task of removing heavy debris from the scene, officials said.

The collapse of the I-35W bridge has brought calls for a major overhaul of ageing US transport infrastructure.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has said the investigation into what caused the disaster could take 18 months to complete.
