Cornish Fugro Seacore engineer killed in Ghana accident

Alex Osborn, an engineer for Fugro Seacore, was working in Takoradi, Ghana, when it is believed he was electrocuted in a hotel shower. Bob Jenkins, managing director of Fugro Seacore, said Mr Osborn's death was a "tragic accident". "Out of respect for Alex's parents, I am not in a position to comment further at this stage," he added. <a href="http://www.seacore.com/" >Fugro Seacore</a> is a marine drilling company, providing geotechnical and specialist services for marine construction, renewable energy, oil, gas and mining industries in the UK and around the world. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office said it could confirm that a British National had died in Ghana on 25th February and it was offering consular assistance. |
