A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of 16-year-old boy who died after being stabbed in the neck in Greater Manchester. | |
Andrew Holland was one of two boys stabbed outside a takeaway restaurant in Farnworth on Friday. The other boy is in a critical condition in hospital. | |
Mahmud Makxoudin, 21, of Madams Wood Road, Little Hulton, Salford, appeared at Bolton Magistrates' Court. | |
Mr Makxoudin, originally from Iran, was remanded in custody until 2 November. | |
He was also charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm with intent. | |

Andrew, who lived in Trentham Gardens, Farnworth, was found collapsed and bleeding outside Ashy's takeaway on Friday night. | |
The second boy, who is also 16 but has not been named, remains in a serious condition in Rochdale Infirmary. | |
