Train guards on the Great Eastern line are due to walk out for a second time in support of a colleague sacked over an incident with a fare evader.

Rail Maritime and Transport (RMT) union members at One Railway also now plan more action if he is not reinstated.

The company said non-union members and managers would keep services running on Monday in Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk.

A company spokesman said negotiations with the RMT would continue but there were no plans for a reinstatement.

The action on Saturday had no effect on services and the company anticipated the same would happen on Monday, although more commuters were set to use the network.
