A man has died and eight other people have been injured following a road traffic accident in Glasgow city centre on Saturday evening.

The incident involved a car and a taxi and happened in the High Street at about 1900 BST.

Strathclyde Police confirmed that the man who died was 63 and a passenger in the car.

The injured were taken to the Royal Infirmary where three were kept in overnight.
