Husband charged over wife's murder in Brighton centre Samantha Medland: husband remanded on murder charge

A man has been charged with murdering his wife after she was stabbed several times in the centre of Brighton. A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of his wife in Brighton on Sunday night.
Samantha Medland, 24, died in hospital after she was attacked in Queen Square, at 20:45 GMT on Sunday. Ty Medland, 25, of Cavell Avenue, Peacehaven, appeared before Brighton magistrates charged with murdering Samantha Medland, 24.
Ty Medland, 25, of Cavell Avenue, Peacehaven, has been charged with her murder and is due to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court later. He was remanded in custody to Lewes Crown Court, where he is due to appear on Thursday.
Mrs Medland died in hospital after suffering stab wounds in Queen Square, in Brighton city centre.
