Speaking on Thursday, her friend Farzana Dudwhaller described the event as a day of mixed emotions.
"It's been very difficult," she told BBC Radio Manchester.
"There has been a mixture of feelings. Happiness for her results but also sadness at the fact she is not here to collect them."
